So if you were wondering, these are the fourteen comics I religiously read. It is an eclectic list, so don’t expect to gain great insight into my soul or anything. These are actually in the order I generally prefer to check them. Yes I have an order. I told you I was obsessed. Or maybe that is a compulsion. It lies in that middle ground maybe.
- Rob and Elliot – This one varies greatly. When it makes me laugh, it in en force. Unfortunately, it is just not consistent.
- Sheldon – 10 year old kid. Software programmer that made Billions on his creation. Thats Sheldon. Definitely has its moments. Some great sci-fi references are always being thrown in.
- Sluggy Freelance – Hard to describe. Sluggy started out so innocently. You basically need to start from the beginning. This one has me constantly looking for updates. It is the closest thing I will come to a soap opera. Only it is interesting.
- ErfWorld – OotS hosted and definitely more about D&D based content. I don’t play myself, but I understand enough for this to be humorous.
- Order of the Stick (OotS) – Who knew stick figures could be so fun? Don’t answer that. I know about stickdeath.com, but this is a geeky great time! Especially if you are into D&D. Don’t worry if not, most of it will still be funny.
- Ctrl+Alt+Del – My most recent addition. Why did I not add this earlier?!?
- Real Life – Loosely based on the artist’s actual life. I like the older stuff the best, but I still eagerly look for a new comic.
- Brat~halla – Yes, my tastes run eclectic. I don’t even know if I spelled that right. Take viking gods and turn them into children. You have a fun little romp called Brat~Halla. It’s good. Have fun.
- Girl Genius – Oh, WOW. The title kinda explains the very basic concept. Beautiful artwork at times. The most in depth and involving story I have seen in a web comic. I basically am in a constant state of suspense waiting to see how this story unfolds. Argh, the agony of suspense!
- Three Panel Soul – You’ve read MacHall. Everyone has read MacHall. The only reason MacHall is not on this list is because it is apparently dead. Finito. Gone. Well this would be it’s replacement. Pay close attention to the comic’s title and format. Ian and Matt, if you evar see this, genius.
- Player vs. Player (PvP) – Great one about a fictional gaming magazine office. Great sense of humor here!
- Penny Arcade – The original gamer web comic… by force! Oh there were others before this one, but they just weren’t original enough to be THE original. You’ll see… Oh and the others talk about gaming too much.
- Looking for Group – Least I Could Do gone WoW Geek. Not technically WoW, but it is pretty obvious. One of the few Horde based of the WoW comics I have seen. FOR THE HORDE!
- Least I Could Do – The least geeky of my fare. Definitely funny and a little course, but still mostly safe for work. This has me rolling quite often.
Well, there you have it. My ordering follows the idea of “save the best for last” if anyone wonders. If ya don’t like any of them, well I don’t create them. But you don’t have to read them. Personally I like every one of these and wish I could offer the creators the full support they so very deserve. If you want to suggest more, feel free! But you may want to watch out for the Wrath of BlueAngel!
