I stumbled across a $500 ethernet cable on Amazon. No, you didn’t misread that. Five Hundred. The really fun part of this item is the comments about it. It would seem that Denon is having a tough time convincing people that a copper core cat6 cable is really worth $500. Of course they claim that it is the pinnacle of audio enhancement. The commenters claim that it does anything from curing global warming to mowing their lawn. Go on. Wrap your mind around it. Have fun with this one.
Bonus points to anyone who can actually offer a compelling argument as to why this cable would be worth $5oo. As one commenter said:
Amazon really needs to remove this item, it’s just immoral, and someone just might be gullible enough to actually buy one. I believe that would make Amazon party to grand larceny.
So you may have noticed that we link some of our favorite sites to the right over there. No, look a little lower. Yeah. Right there. We added a new one today. You may have heard of tshirthell.com and even may have liked the shirts but have been unable to buy them for wearing in “polite” society. Although if they were really polite, they wouldn’t be staring at your CHEST so as to comment on your shirt in the first place, right? Not that I really have any place to comment about alluded behavior, but I digress. A new clothing site has come about to parallel tshirt hell in more “polite” terms. You can click on the aptly designed banner below to peruse their merchandise. A great thing about them, though (and why I thought this worthy to post about and not simply link), is the fact that they are gracefully willing to share their profits with those who get people to cross their virtual thresh hold. You, too, can sign up to be an affiliate and receive a “kick back” for sending people from your site (assuming you run a site)! Yes, this seems like a shameless plug, but hey, I like their shirts and don’t mind helping them get the word out.
